About
Dimitris P. Drakoulis studied Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano "Leonardo da Vinci" and earned a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a Thesis entitled "The Regional Organization of the Settlements in the Eastern Roman Empire during the Early Byzantine Period (4th-6th Century A.D.)". He is Member of the Laboratory of Urban and Environmental Planning, Department of Architecture, School of Engineering, A.U.Th. He is conducting Postdoctoral Research at the Centre for Byzantine Research of the same University with a project entitled "Land-uses and functional shells in the urban space of the Early Byzantine Period". His research has been funded by the Italian Research Council and the American School of Classical Studies at Athens.
